Frequently asked questions
New accounts try every feature free for 14 days. When the trial ends the account moves to the Free plan: drawing and editing stay open. AI, export and customer links are in the Pro plan.
The Pro subscription is charged up front at the start of each period, at the price and taxes shown on the order screen, and renews until you cancel. Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh); your card details never reach Kumpix.
You can cancel at any time from the app:
- Open the Account menu in Kumpix.
- Choose "Cancel subscription" or "Manage subscription".
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
If you write to us within 14 days of your first payment, we refund the first period. See the refund policy for details.
Write the piece, stone, size, metal and style, for example "1 carat solitaire, 6 prongs, size 16, 18k". With the interface in English the assistant answers in English; it also understands Turkish jewelers' terms. If something is missing, it asks.
Models produced by the AI and the calculated weight, volume and prices are estimates. Check the dimensions, the casting check and the gram weight after every model; dimensions drawn from a photo are always estimates.
The AI runs in the cloud and each account has a daily request limit. Your requests and photos are processed only to build the model and are not used for model training.
STL, STEP, 3DM, 3MF and G-code for wax milling. For the customer approval page and the AR preview the model is prepared as GLB.
Yes. 3DM files open in Rhino 8 as trimmed NURBS polysurfaces; layers, names and colors are kept, and stones are separate polysurfaces with their carat weight. There is also a bridge plug-in for Rhino and Matrix Gold.
Yes, as 3DM. .3dm files saved in Rhino 8 / Matrix Gold open in Kumpix as full solids (NURBS surfaces); Matrix Gold stones (blocks) come in at their positions, layer and object names are kept and units are converted to millimeters. On a real Rhino file the volumes came out within 0.06% of Rhino's own measurement. You can export your model back to 3DM and open it in Rhino.
The designs, files and customer information you create with Kumpix belong to you. Designs drawn on the desktop are kept only on your computer.
Kumpix is a desktop app for Windows and macOS. Get the installers from the download page.
What we have measured:
- The macOS app bundle (Kumpix.app) takes 599 MB on disk; the design engine is included, so no Python or other program is needed.
- On macOS the first launch took about 77 seconds while the system scanned the bundle; on later launches the engine started in 2 seconds.
- AI and customer links need an internet connection.
Not measured yet (to be verified): minimum macOS and Windows versions, Intel Mac support, Windows package size, recommended memory (RAM) and graphics card.
One account can be active on up to 3 computers at the same time. Sharing an account with others is not allowed.
Drawing and editing run on your computer. The license stays valid offline for up to 7 days; AI and customer links need the internet.
No. The document is saved to disk automatically after every change; when you reopen the program you continue where you left off.
Yes. Switch the language from the main menu (English / Türkçe). Every on-screen text, including panels, prompts, tips and engine messages, is translated, and the AI answers in English while the interface is in English.
In the app, choose Account → Delete account at any time. Your account, sessions, computer registrations and cloud data are deleted and the subscription is canceled.
How your personal data is processed is described in the privacy policy.
